What we’re about
This group is for people 55+ to find a local group near them to walk together on a regular basis.
I started this group in memory of my grandmother. It cannot be stressed enough how important it is to have community, know your neighbors, and to stay active.
We have groups in:
- Forest Hill
- West Portal
- Bernal Heights
- Inner Richmond
- Miraloma/Westwood Heights
- Urbana/Westwood Park
- NOPA/Panhandle
But please let me know if you would like to start a group in your neighborhood.
Dog Policy: While we love our furry friends, some of our walkers have expressed discomfort around dogs, and we aim to create a comfortable environment for everyone. Therefore, we kindly request that dogs are not brought on our walks, unless explicitly stated otherwise. Walks designated as "dog friendly" will be clearly labeled, allowing those with canine companions to participate accordingly.
Diverse Walking Abilities: Our group is comprised of people with varying walking abilities. We strive to accommodate everyone and encourage a supportive atmosphere. Please be mindful of the pace and needs of your fellow walkers, and help us maintain an inclusive environment where everyone can enjoy their walking experience.
Safety First: The safety and well-being of our members is our top priority. We ask that you stay alert and follow any guidelines provided by walk leaders. If you have any concerns or require assistance, please do not hesitate to inform the group leader.
