One Extra Ticket: The Planets at the SF Symphony (Fri 1/16)
Details
Event Description - friend meetup.
I’m new to San Francisco and looking to make friends through shared experiences around music, art, and culture.
This Friday, I’m attending the San Francisco Symphony performance of Holst’s The Planets — a powerful, cinematic orchestral work that’s great even if you’ve never been to the symphony before. Think immersive sound, big emotions, and music that feels more like a live film score than “formal” classical music.
I currently have one extra ticket available (so... no guests sorry), so this is a small, one-on-one hang rather than a big group meetup.
The plan is to enjoy the performance together and, if we’re both up for it, grab a coffee or drink afterward to chat about the music and get to know each other.
Who this is for:
Someone new to SF or open to meeting new people
Anyone curious about orchestral music (no experience needed)
Art, film-score, or culture lovers
Folks who enjoy thoughtful conversation in a relaxed setting
No classical background required — just come as you are.
If you’re looking for a genuine, low-key way to connect and experience the city, I’d love the company.
