About us
A very casual touch football game in Golden Gate Park at 1 pm on Saturday.
Our field is pretty small in an absolutely beautiful field tucked in Golden Gate Park at 25th & Lincoln. We play 4-on-4, taking turns at quarterback. First down at midfield. One run allowed per series. One blitz allowed per series. Otherwise rush after 4 counts of 1,000.
This is for fun and camaraderie more than athletic competition. We take turns at quarterback. We are more likely to bring beer than energy drinks. Accordingly, we have the following rules to keep the spirit.
- Don’t try too hard. Nobody wants to get hurt.
- No cleats. Makes the game accessible to everyone, and more equitable. If the field is wet some of us have been known to play barefoot.
- No spectators you're trying to impress. Spectators can come, but if you bring a lover you're trying to impress you might violate rule #1.
