To celebrate World Make Music Day on Sunday June 21, lets meet at one of our favorite outdoor spots, the Golden Gate Pavilion (formerly the Chinese Pavilion) at Blue Heron Lake (formerly Stow Lake) in Golden Gate Park to play songs that celebrate the summer, music, and/or San Francisco.

We'll play songs from the Yellow and Blue Daily Ukulele books. Please bring them with you or download digital versions using these dropbox links.

I've included a photo (generously created by Disney Mark) to illustrate where to park on the Blue Heron Lake periphery road and how to get to the Golden Gate Pavilion from there.

About Make Music Day:
Launched in 1982 in France as the Fête de la Musique, Make Music Day is celebrated on the same day in more than 1,000 cities in dozens of countries around the world. Completely different from a typical music festival, Make Music is open to anyone who wants to take part. Every kind of musician — young and old, amateur and professional, of every musical persuasion — pours onto streets, parks, plazas, and porches to share their music with friends, neighbors, and strangers. All of it is free and open to the public.
