Play Music on the Porch Day 2026 -- IN-PERSON EVENT

Saturday August 29 is Play Music on the Porch Day Worldwide 2026 (always on the last Saturday in August). Many of us don't have a porch, so let's gather at one of our favorite outdoor venues, the Golden Gate Pavilion at Blue Heron (formerly Stow) Lake, and play music there!

This year's Play Music on the Porch Day theme is Play for Peace, so we'll play songs curated from the Ukes4Peace songbook. I'll be posting a dropbox link to a song packet sometime soon.

Please note that we don't reserve the Golden Gate Pavilion, and while it's usually available when we schedule a jam there, it may occasionally be in use, in which case we'll have to look for another place to play. It often gets cold or windy in the afternoon in the park, so please dress accordingly.

As we do at our montly in-person meetups, we'll go around the circle, and anyone who would like to lead a song may do so. If you like, you can post here in the comments what song you'd like to lead when it's your turn so that those so inclined can practice in advance. You're free to pass when it's your turn, or pick a song and ask someone else to lead it, but the more voices we hear, the better!
