What we’re about
SAN FRANCISCO SOUND WAVE CHORUS – CALLING WOMEN SINGERS!
We are a group of women who love to sing, and we want MORE!
Our chorus is a chapter of Sweet Adelines International, a barbershop organization, but we often explore some other, more modern, a cappella styles. We perform around San Francisco and the Bay Area and we also compete once a year with other choruses within our organization.
If you’d like to join us, at your first meeting, our assistant director will listen to your voice and you will be placed in a tenor, lead, baritone or bass section. Then, after a few rehearsals, an audition will take place for the evaluation of your musicianship and intonation. Once you have officially joined our group, we require a commitment to rehearsals once per week, as well as monthly fees.
Our rehearsals are in San Francisco at 1371 Funston Ave (between 12th and 14th) on Thursdays from 7pm-9:30pm at Moriarty Hall at St Anne's Church. Free parking behind St. Anne’s Church is available (enter from Funston St.).
First time visitors are encouraged to arrive by 6:45pm, so one of our greeters can meet with you for orientation. Please - no pets allowed. So, if you're interested in singing harmony, please join us for a rehearsal! www.sfsoundwave.net
