For the second WooCommerce San Francisco meetup, we're excited to have Patrick Rauland join us from Green Bay, Wisconsin‎.

Patrick works as a WooCommerce Support Ninja with WooThemes. He handles hundreds of tickets every month to help customers with all manner of issues around WooCommerce, extensions and themes.

What's New in WooCommerce 2.1 (and what's changed)?

If you haven't heard, WooCommerce 2.1 was released at the start of February. This major new version introduced a bunch of new features, like multiple shipping options per order and an API for developers. It also improved existing features, like sales reports and responsive default templates.

In this section of the presentation, Patrick will provide a complete overview of what's new, what's changed and what's improved.

Introduction to WooCommerce Extensions

Just starting out in the WooCommerce world?

This section of Patrick's presentation will introduce you to the idea of a WooCommerce extensions, arguable the most powerful part of the WooCommerce ecosystem.

Patrick will then give an overview of some of the cooler and more popular WooCommerce extensions available through WooThemes and from other sources, like WordPress.org.

Patrick has extensive knowledge in HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, and MySQL and specializes in building plugins for WordPress. Including extensions for WooCommerce & Ninja Forms. Patrick blogs about his escapades in code at Speaking in Bytes (http://speakinginbytes.com/).

When not developing the next coolest thing you can probably find him in a yoga class or a coffee shop relaxing.
