About us

Every Thursday from 8 am to 9 am PST

Explore through invitational prompts how to write poems, short prose pieces, or fragments of your autobiography in a way that facilitate healing, balance, and insight. Psychotherapist Maureen Murdoch (2003) wrote, “No event is too small or too insignificant to write about, and Louise DeSalvo (1999), PhD wrote, “Through writing about events and feelings, participants understood what had occurred and what they felt about it, and they assimilated the meaning of this event into their lives, thereby diffusing its power over them.” Psychologist Thomas Moore (1994) also commented: “The pen, expressing the soul’s passion, is mightier than the sword because the imagination can change the life of a people at their very roots.”

No experience with previous writing needed; only a desire to get support and inspiration in a group of like-minded explorers of insights. The group is a safe place to reflect, gain distance over experiences. Sharing of writing is always optional.
