Mysore Style Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga
Mysore Style Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is named after the city in South India; Mysore where this transformative practice originated from the co-founders Krishnamacharya & K. Pattabhi Jois nearly 90 years ago. Mysore style means you work at your own pace while the teacher provides tailored instruction from giving postures, asking questions, & giving hands-on adjustments when necessary. The beauty of Mysore is you don’t need to keep up with the teacher or other students in the room since it is an individual practice similar to an individual playing a song on a guitar, doing a dance or doing a kata in martial arts in a customized way. Since the same postures are repeated each time you can memorize the sequence giving you practice to take home with you or wherever you roam on Mother Earth.
