Traditional Shorin Ryu Karate has roots in Okanawaii coming from China eventually making its way to Japan. Shane grew up in a karate family in NY and FL. He started karate at age 5, started teaching at 13, and took his first steps in a karate dojo in Manhattan in the early 1980s.
