What we’re about
Calling all cat lovers! Do you find cats irresistible? Do you own one, want to own one, or just want to be around one? Do you want to share your love of cats with other like-minded people in San Jose? Join us! We have regular hours when guests can visit our adorable adoptable cats (note: reservations are required and are $15 per person). During other special events, we might share stories, photos and behavior tips. Other special events might include a workshop to make catnip toys, or a talk by a cat behaviorist.
Events will take place at The Dancing Cat, San Jose's only adoption lounge for adult cats. Visitors are invited to meet and mingle with adorable adoptable cats in a relaxed and comfortable setting. Sweet snacks and soft drinks for sale, wi-fi and catnip are on the house!
If you'd like to simply hang out with adorable adoptable cats, you're welcome to come during our regular public hours from Thursday though Sunday from noon to around 6pm. We ask for a donation of $15 to come in, but this is waived in cases of hardship. We want everyone to enjoy being with our cats.

Set your intention and practice focusing your attention amidst our adorable adoptable kitties. After final OMs are offered to the divine abiding of all sentient beings, you are invited to enjoy chill time with the resident cats.
Your admission of $35 goes entirely to the benefit The Dancing Cat, San Jose's unique cat adoption lounge.
All levels are welcome! Please bring your yoga mat.
About Delanie Booton:
Delanie fell in love with yoga in 2003 and has practiced regularly ever since. She received her Yoga Alliance instructor certification in 2008 through the Joy of Yoga teacher training program. She teaches dynamic vinyasa flow-based classes which are both vigorous and focused. Delanie is also a Balanced Body trained Pilates instructor and incorporates functional anatomy in all of her sessions. She has studied closely with Rusty Wells, Janet Stone, Kent Bond, Jennifer Prugh, Tom McCook, and Lisa Graham. She has taught yoga and both Pilates mat and Reformer at several corporate locations and studios all over the Bay Area. In addition, Delanie is a Certified Massage therapist and had a private practice for over 10 years. Embroidery today is no longer about a Home Sweet Home sampler. Contemporary stitching is more about the possibilities and art of thread. Local artist Tiff Tzeng will take participants through navigating a needle presenting the basics of embroidery including color, pattern, and texture with a unique design created for the cats of The Dancing Cat! Join us for a calm and focused morning, centering the mind on the act of creation with a cohort of adorable cats!
CAT PATTERN! For this workshop, we are going back to basics with the Cat in Bloom pattern, designed just for beginners. Feel free to bring your own caffeine or other beverage of choice, and have fun with needle and thread.

Ticket includes: instruction, pattern, thread, hoop, and needle
Time: Doors will open at 9:50 AM and class will start at 10:00 AM
About the Artist:
Tiffany "Tiff" Tzeng is a modern embroidery artist based in San Jose, who has been delving into the stitching craft since 2018. As a self-taught artist, Tiff loves to experiment with color, texture, and multimedia, and is inspired by eccentric subjects. You can find kits of Tiff's Dancing Cat designs in the lounge, and also keep up with what she is creating next on Instagram as @stitchesbytiff and on TikTok as @stitchesbytiffshop!

It is the triumphant return of game night!
Calling all game and puzzle enthusiasts, are you ready for a paw-some night out with friends? Plus a chance to win a game made by a local game designer!
Join us for a fun-filled board game/puzzle night at The Dancing Cat. We've got all the essentials covered with some classics like Exploding Kittens, Cat Pictionary, Crazy Cat Lady, and a 350 or 500 piece cat puzzle to tackle. Or, do you have a purr-fectly awesome game you want to share with like-minded cat lovers? Bring it along and introduce some friends.
And this special game night will have a local game-designer sponsor: Sanchez Michaels, owner and lead designer of Sandwich Bag Games, will be playing games, talking (a little) about creating thoughtful, family-friendly fun, and giving away a copy of one of his favorite games to a lucky player at the end of the night!
So grab a fellow feline aficionado, and let's have a meow-gnificent night. Just don't be surprised if some of the cats join you at the tables!
