What is Bocce Ball?
Bocce Ball is a game that dates back to Ancient Rome and is still one of Italy's favorite sports. Played on a long, flat court, the goal is simple: get your team's balls closest to the small target ball, known as the pallino. It’s easy to learn but offers enough strategy and skill to keep things competitive!

Why Play Bocce Ball?

- A fun way to enjoy the outdoors.
- Wonderful for all ages and fitness levels.
- Helps sharpen coordination and focus while enjoying some friendly competition!

What's Happening at This Meetup:
We’re hosting weekly Wednesday morning bocce ball events at Emerson Park in SLO! If you know this day and time is for you as a routine, register for future Wednesday events to indicate your interest. It will help we organizers!

We'll learn or refresh on the rules, play a few casual games, and enjoy a fun, relaxed time together.

Call to Action:
Don't miss out! Come out, learn to play, play and mentor others, and meet other Italian enthusiasts. Be aware that Emerson Park does NOT have public restrooms. Take care of business before you come to the park.

Optionally, those who feel hungry or thirsty after bocce can join us for a beverage or lunch at the Libertine Coffee Bar (one block away) at 1240 Broad Street, San Luis Obispo CA 93401

The SLOC Friends of Italy Bocce Team is in full swing, competing for a second time in the bocce league at Templeton Tennis Ranch (TTR)! 🎉
We’re now rolling through summer, playing a "best of three" series each week in a fun, friendly competition. The camaraderie is strong, the bocce balls are rolling, and we’re making great connections along the way!
