The San Mateo County Pride Center was born of the struggles and triumphs of the LGBTQ+ community over the years and stands for equity, inclusion, dignity, self-determination, and justice. Over a decade in the making, the Pride Center is the first ever LGBTQ+ community center in San Mateo County. Whether seeking behavioral health services or gathering in solidarity with others to share stories, build relationships, learn, grow, create, and heal together, LGBTQ+ individuals and communities throughout the Peninsula finally have a space to call their own!

Our mission is to create a welcoming, safe, inclusive, and affirming community climate that fosters personal growth, health, and opportunities to thrive for individuals of all ages, sexual orientations, and gender identities through education, counseling, advocacy, and support.

Our vision is to create an innovative, respectful, and equitable community of all ages, ethnicities, cultures, sexual orientations, and gender identities that supports complete inclusion, is free of discrimination, strives for knowledge, challenges barriers, and seeks to empower agents of social change.
ACCESSIBILITY INFO:
* The Center is one block north of the ECR & 12th Avenue stop for Samtrans 397 and ECR.
* The center has two gender neutral restrooms. Both are single stall and located near the front and rear entrances to the building. Both bathrooms are large and have railings.
* There is one disabled parking spot located in the parking lot behind the center off of 11th street.
* There is a wheel-chair accessible entrance to the rear of the building, located in the parking lot off of 11th street.
*This is currently not a scent-free/fragrance-free space.

Join us for Fierce and Fabulous: A Drag Brunch Affair! (21+) on Sunday, June 1 from 12-4PM at Domenico Winery (1697 Industrial Rd. San Carlos, CA 94070)
It’s important to us to give all people, especially queer artists, a platform to express their art and celebrate who they are in a safe and welcoming space. 🎤 On June 1st, Domenico Winery will be hosting we’ll be hosting a Drag Brunch to kickoff Pride Month and show our support for the LGBTQ+ community. They have poured their hearts into creating an event that’s fun, inclusive, and unforgettable.🏳️🌈
The San Mateo County Pride Center is a proud partner of this event & will be tabling with resources, free goodies and information available to all. A portion of the proceeds of this event will be donated directly to the Pride Center!🌈

It’s almost Pride Month! Whether you’re at the start of your journey to become an LGBTQIA+ ally or would just like to brush up on your terminology, we invite you to join us for SOGIE 101, a FREE community training on Wednesday, June 4 from 6-8PM on Zoom.
SOGIE stands for Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity/Expression and can sometimes be interpreted as LGBTQ+ 101. We are co-hosting this training with our partners at Outlet of Adolescent Counseling Services. Our goal is to work with YOU to understand how to create affirming environments for LGBTQ youth and adults through an engaging and interactive training filled with matching games, videos, and polls.
After every training, we provide follow-up resources either highlighted in or similar to the content in our training.

A free peer support group for folks who are LGBTQ+ identified and parents of kid(s) 0-17 years old. Parents are encouraged to join us to receive support, share parenting wisdom, build community and more.
Every way of being or becoming a parent is welcome!
Beginning in January 2025, this group will switch to meeting on the 3rd Wednesday from 7:30-8:30 PM PST on Zoom.
