This is a loop hike to the summits of Twin Peaks in Poway (shown below, as seen from Twin Peaks Road). Part of the hike is along dirt roads, but the trail up to the summits is quite steep. The elevation gain is about 700 feet. The distance is about two or three miles, depending on how far we want to go.

We've done this hike before, most recently on July 23, 2015. For a description see www.meetup.com/sandiegodayhikers/events/247758832 (https://www.meetup.com/sandiegodayhikers/events/247758832/).

The views from the summits are well worth the climb. Leashed dogs are allowed.

We'll meet at 9:00 AM in Silverset Park at the corner of Silverset St. and Shadowline St. in Poway (N 32 58.847 W 117 3.064). We'll step off at 9:15 AM.

SUGGESTED ROUTE FROM SAN DIEGO: North on I-15, then east on Ted Williams Parkway. At the end of Ted Williams Parkway, turn right (east) on Twin Peaks Road, then left into Silverset St.
