Green Valley Falls - Cuyamaca

4.5mi 350ft ascent. Easy water crossing - poles recommended.
A beautiful tranquil and scenic hike in Cuyamaca Rancho state park starting at an elevation around 4,000ft. An easier jaunt along well maintained Fire roads - South Boundary & Falls. We will pass the Green Valley falls (several small water features), and go through the campground.

From San Diego: Take I-8 east to exit 40 (Hwy 79, Descanso/Japatul Vly Rd). Turn left (north) on 79 (and don't miss where Hwy 79 makes a left turn). Soon after passing the Cuyamaca Rancho State Park sign (at ground level) the roadside parking is on the right.
