San Diego JS Monthly Meeting
Details
San Diego Javascript meets the first Tuesday of each month, at Zeeto Downtown. This event will take place in Zeeto's Questionable Exchange on the first floor. Food and Drinks will be provided. We typically have a series of short talks and then hang out at the bar for drinks and socializing.
@ 7:30 pm you can park in any available Zeeto parking spots (see the map).

Chris Griffith: Building Mobile Applications with Ionic
What is the Ionic Framework? The Ionic Framework combines Google’s Angular with Apache’s Cordova to create fast and beautiful cross-platform mobile apps for iOS and Android (and Electron or Progressive Web Apps). Built atop the web technologies you know and love, this solution can help take your web skills beyond the browser.
In this talk, I will give you an overview of the Ionic Framework, show how to install it, and finally build a quick app and deploy it to both iOS and Android using some of the additional Ionic.io services.
Chris Griffith is the User Experience Lead at a home automation and security company and is also an instructor at the University of California, San Diego Extension teaching mobile application development. Recently he finished his first book, Mobile App Development with Ionic 2, published by O’Reilly Press. He is also an Adobe Community Professional specializing in PhoneGap/Cordova and Experience Design. He has developed several mobile applications, a variety of code-hinters and ConfiGAP for PhoneGap Build. In addition, he has served as a technical reviewer for several publications and written for uxmag.com (http://uxmag.com/).
