Women of SDJS meetup meets every second Tuesday of the month. For this session, we'll be focused on Accessibility.

What are you going to experience?

Introduction about accessibility by Samantha Monteiro. Samantha is the co-organizer of Women of SDJS as well a Software Engineer at Intuit.

Basics of Web Accessible Development by Poonam Tathavadkar. She will present to us a refresher on the basics of accessible development to help us understand how we can make basic web elements and in turn the product/website accessible. This will set a base for our hands-on workshop.

Workshop about accessibility led by Harris Schneiderman. Harris is a software developer with a strong passion for accessibility. He is a member of the W3C ARIA Working Group and works for Deque Systems. He enjoys working on open source projects aimed at making the web a better place for everyone!
