SDPHP February Meetup

Okay, so we took December and January off—holidays, New Year's resolutions to finally learn how to do eventsourcing, the usual. But February? We're coming back strong with a new spot that I'm honestly pretty excited about.

The New Venue: Nova
We're meeting at Nova for the first time. If you haven't been, Novo Brazil and Nova Kombucha brew Brazilian-inspired beers and kombucha. Good drinks, good space, and honestly, a change of scenery felt right for kicking off 2026.

Here's the thing, though, we need a speaker.
I know it's short notice (February 4th is just over a week away), but if you've been working on something interesting, hit a cool problem you solved, or just want to share what you've learned lately, we'd love to have you talk.
It doesn't need to be polished. Even a 20-minute talk on a real-world problem you tackled would make a perfect presentation. This group is supportive, asks good questions, and honestly just wants to learn from each other's experiences.

What to expect:
✓ Reconnecting with SD's PHP community after the break
✓ New venue with Brazilian-inspired drinks
✓ Casual format where we can actually talk shop
✓ Speaker slot open if you want it (reach out!)
Whether you're a regular or you've been meaning to check us out, this is a good one to make. It's been too long, and I promise you it'll be worth leaving the house for.

Meetup will be on February 4th. Social hour will start at 6 PM and run to about 7 PM. This is a window to socialize with other PHP developers at the meetup before any presentation. At 7 PM, we will start the geek portion of the MeetUp and hopefully have a presentation to learn something new from.
