Hike at Torrey Pines (La Jolla)
Details
Who’s up for a leisurely hike at Torrey Pines? This Natural Reserve has spectacular views and some very user friendly trails. If the weather permits, we will assemble in the Torrey Pines State Reserve parking lot (near the restrooms) and then walk up the paved hill to the "Broken Hill Loop" trail. This well maintained loop trail has scenic views of the ocean and is described as “moderately challenging.” After the trail, we will walk back to the parking lot. In total this should be about a 4.5 mile hike. I recommend bringing comfortable shoes, layered clothing, water, sunscreen or a hat and maybe some vegan snacks for yourself.
Parking: There is free parking along Torrey Pines Road just before the entrance, or you can pay a fee (varies depending on demand) to park in the main parking area.
The address is 12600 North Torrey Pines Road, San Diego CA 92037 and parking is also FREE if you park on Carmel Valley Rd (or if you find a spot off the S21 if you're lucky), otherwise you can pay for parking in the lot.
At 1:00 p.m., we'll meet in the parking lot by the public restrooms at the start of the trail (located by the south beach parking area).

HELP KEEP OUR MEETUP UP AND RUNNING
Please chip in just $5, $10 or even $15 to help keep our group online. Our organizers are now required to pay $200/year to maintain our Meetup hosting account, so we rely 100% on our members' support. Just a few members chip in each year, so we really need your help.
