Wikipedia Edit-a-Thon: Black History Month

Wikipedia is the largest online encyclopedia in the world. With millions of articles, thousands of editors, and decades of research, it has become a trusted resource for getting first-look information in dozens of different disciplines. Please join us on Monday, February 27th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm to learn to edit Wikipedia pages while featuring famous and significant Black Americans. All experience levels are welcome. It is highly recommended that participants create a Wikipedia account ahead of time.
Light refreshment will be provided.
Can't make February 27th? We'll be hosting similar events on the following dates, with more to come next quarter!

The San Diego Wikimedians User Group, an affiliate of the Wikimedia Foundation, will be giving a short tutorial on getting started with Wikipedia. Afterwards, we will begin editing! Computers will be available. Attendees may bring their own WiFi-enabled devices if they so desire, though in-room outlet space may be limited.
