We'll be meeting again for our SFWT July Event at The Elephant and Castle.
The Elephant and Castle (E&C) has a large downstairs private room (The Lombard Room) where us 'leisure refugees' will get together. When you come in the door just let the venue greeter know that you are with our group, and head straight down the main bar before taking the stairs on the right hand side down to The Lombard Room -where you'll find us loitering with intent and grinning inanely!
E&C also serves food upstairs should any one choose to eat at the venue but please note we don't have dinner as a group - we do the the whole 'mingle mingle' thing over a few drinks.
SFWT supports The United Nation's Foundations "Nothing but Nets' initiative to provide mosquito bed nets to families in Africa. As such all attendees are asked to make a $1.00 donation to this important and valuable cause (of course if you'd like to give more you are welcome to do so). Getting there:
E&C is conveniently located opposite the Embarcadero Center (Building 1) on the north-west corner of Battery and Clay.
Transportation
Just a couple of blocks from the Embarcadero BART and MUNI station and 5 minutes walk from the Ferry Building on the Embarcadero. There are ample options for parking close by either on the street or at nearby garages (such as 250 Clay St or the Embarcadero Center).
Apart from that all you need is yourself and your 'friendly' hat and you're all ready to go!
