What we're about

Our travel club is for all those solo travelers out there who want to explore the world but need a group to go with! Bring friends of course but if you can't get them to come-no worries! We do awesome local events in the Bay Area and many exciting trips all year! Local Events include hiking, wine tasting, white water rafting, kayaking, parties, dinner, camping, and much more!

Upcoming events (4+)

Hidden Old Redwoods ,Waterfall/Inkwells, Cool Trek & Salmon spawning.

What we'll do
We meet in Larkspur at Starbucks in the Marin Country Mart. 1801 Larkspur Landing Cir.
Stay in your Covid cave again or get out in the fresh Forest & Ocean air.

NOTE: This is a two part/location. The second location will be after our hike where we will have our picnic lunch & then go on a creek side trail to observe the spawning Salmon. This may be your last chance to see this cool nature experience. ***AND if time permits , a short trek to a four tiered hidden Waterfall . Nice !

Hike is rated as easy to a bit moderate. Always some hills to climb. Don't worry as I will narrate the cool things to see along the way. We stop a lot for photos & other discoveries.

NOTE: We will carpool from Starbucks. Plus always call or text me @[masked] Or email me directly to: [masked] I will miss emails from all the other meetup groups. And pay no attention to the roster count as people come from all over the Bay area.

The First part of our journey takes us thru a variety of locations. From sunny meadows to deep cliff side canyon trails. The last part is on a hidden trail that will take us to an amazing old growth Redwood forest/grove with spectacular trees in a type of prehistoric setting that is similar to the awesome Ukiah/Vichy Springs forest.

Must have good hiking shoes & a jacket. (BRING A LUNCH) **I'll have my food & drink buffet & Vino available. Hiking poles also.

Meetup donation:: $$, zelle, p.pal, chk. is $25. or 1 silver Eagle. 1.00 coin.
Oh yeah; 2 rules: 1. No whinning & no No Shows. Only fun & laughing allowed.
***REMEMBER THIS: " Its the journey & not the destination."

Hike and Networking at Alviso Marina County Park, ~4.5mi, 1.5-hour, easy hike

Alviso Marina County Park

I invite all Travel Buddies to join our early morning hikes that will be organized regularly. These easy hikes can be a way to train yourself for longer trips, and to meet your group members in person.

Sometimes we will complement these hikes with networking time AFTER a hike, 9:30am-10:30am, at the picnic tables so that group members could connect more directly. Please check the comments to the event if after-hike networking is planned.

Usually we will take this hike at Alviso on Saturday. Also, the plan is to resume our Alviso morning hikes on Wednesdays - please, check the group's calendar for that.

We will take Alviso Slough Trail and make sure we are done by 9:30-9:45 am as the latest. This is a flat, fast-paced hike (or walk) and it can serve as a warm-up for your other activities later on this day. But if everybody in the group wants to do a longer hike, there are choices of trails at Alviso to extend our activities )) This Alviso hike will be hosted by either Lana, or Mike.

Please, bring:
layered cloths/windbreaker,
shoes appropriate for a rough trail,
water,
hat,
sunglasses.

The weather forecast in the area:

Please be aware that in the case of precipitation in the area the day before the hike - the trail can get muddy here and there. So, put on appropriate shoes, do not wear nice hiking/textile shoes..

No parking fee is charged currently at Alviso.

The Park is 100% open space and a good setting for cognitive respite by relaxing and restoring the mind ))

This event is cross-posted with tech pro's Meetup groups: Silicon Valley Indian Professionals Association (SIPA), California Software Professional Association (CSPA), Global Online Tech & Startup Networking & Training Meetup, and others.
