• Walk in a stunning natural reserve in the highlands. Named after a Norse god, the title reflects to the rugged and dramatic landscapes known for dense birch forest, moss-covered lava fields, and endless scenery.
• Svartifoss (Black Falls): Water tumbling 100 ft over the edge, the falls are bordered on both sides by tall black basalt columns, resembling the pipes of a giant organ!
• Optional Glacier Hike: Sólheimajokull is a breathtaking outlet glacier originating from the mighty icecap of Mýrdalsjökull, and the scenery and views are simply stunning. We trek safely through a wonderland of glacial ice sculptures, meandering through ice ridges and deep crevasses with an expert glacier guide.

Austerland Region (The East)

Windhoek (1 Night w/ optional pre-night)
A compact, high-altitude capital where German colonial architecture meets contemporary Namibian culture, set against a backdrop of rolling khaki hills. Windhoek is an easygoing gateway city, with good coffee, lively restaurants, and a growing creative scene that rewards curious wanderers. Spend a day here to acclimatise, stock up, and ease into the wide-open rhythms of the country beyond.

• Explore the city (requires pre-night arrival): The cosmopolitan city of Windhoek serves as the capital of the country. It is home to a plethora of restaurants, shops, & entertainment venues. The city is clean, safe, and well-organised, with a colonial legacy that is reflected in its many German eateries and shops, and the widespread use of the German language. Windhoek has an interesting mix of historical architecture and modern buildings, many of which are worth a look, including the Alte Feste an old fort, the 1896 Christuskirche Christ Church, and the more contemporary Supreme Court. *For those who sign up for a pre-night, there will be time to explore Windhoek on their own or with help and suggestions from our Tour Director. • The Central Highlands at N/a'an ku sê Lodge: Perched on the edge of the rugged Khomas Hochland plateau, the region surrounding N/a'an ku sê is a cinematic expanse of golden savannah and ancient, scrub-dotted hills. This high-altitude wilderness serves as a vital ecological corridor, where the harsh beauty of the semi-desert meets the rolling thornveld of central Namibia. It is a land of vast horizons and dramatic light, situated just far enough from the capital of Windhoek to trade urban hum for the profound, crystalline silence of the African bush
• The Lodge: N/a'an ku sê is more than a luxury retreat; it is a world-renowned conservation powerhouse where upscale eco-villas blend seamlessly into the red-earth landscape. The Namib Desert

Deadvlei & Sunrise at Dune 45

• A dreamlike clay pan where 900-year-old skeletons of camelthorn trees stand blackened against blinding white ground and towering red dunes. The scene feels almost unreal, especially in the early morning when shadows stretch, and colors intensify. Silence dominates here, amplifying the sense of isolation and deep time. Etosha National Park
Dominating northern Namibia, Etosha is one of Africa’s greatest wildlife sanctuaries. The park is centered around a massive salt pan so large it can be seen from space. During the dry season, the waterholes become a theater of nature, where predators and prey congregate in high numbers.

• Etosha South: Etosha South delivers the park at its most elemental: vast salt pans shimmering in the heat, acacia-dotted plains, and waterholes that draw in a steady procession of wildlife.
