Field Day 2025

Details
Be a part of the largest amateur radio event in the world!
Location: Beresford Park, 27th Ave and Parkview Way, San Mateo, CA.
Northwest corner under the picnic shelter
Time: 24 hour event, Saturday, June 28 from 11 AM continuously
until Sunday, June 29 at 11 am.
The event is free to the public. Come experience a hands-on demonstration and training in amateur radio operations. This 24-hour event is a nationwide informal contest using voice, Morse code, and state-of-the art digital radio modes. The contest simulates radio communications in emergency conditions.
This is an opportunity to come see what it's all about. There will be many experienced hams who would love to answer any questions amateur radio operating or licensing or to demonstrate operations. You can come early (before 11 Saturday) and help us set up antennas and stations, or stay later (after 11 Sunday) and help us take it all back down. We also would welcome any assistance in providing or preparing meals and snacks for the operators who will be working over night.
If you are not licensed for amateur radio, we will have a "get on the air" (GOTA) station where you can make contacts with other radio operators under the supervision of a licensed operator. This is a chance to try it out, risk free, and learn how to get an amateur radio operator license if you are interested.
