What we’re about
I've created this group for people who crave physical challenges, appreciate nature, and don't take themselves too seriously. As someone who is queer and nonbinary, I'm intentionally creating a space that honors every identity and expression in the too often cis-straight-white rucking world. Please know, if you're cis-straight-white, you're very welcome here, too.
Rucking, at its core, is hiking with a weighted pack. Our adventures range from rucks by the beach to rucks in Los Padres, covering distances of 3 to 13 miles. We'll maintain a group pace, but you're free to amp up your own challenge by tweaking the weight in your pack or going at your own pace. Sometimes, our rucks culminate in a communal meal or drink, though this is entirely optional. One thing isn't optional, though, and that's showing up prepared to laugh.
