Welcome to Santa Barbara Pickleball Socials — hosted by Dynamite Pickleball.
We started this group for one simple reason: pickleball is one of the best ways to meet people we've ever seen.
Whether you're new to Santa Barbara, newly single, or just looking to expand your social circle, there's something about stepping onto a court together that breaks the ice faster than any happy hour ever could. You play, you laugh, you rotate partners, and by the end of the night you've had real conversations with a roomful of people you actually want to see again.
Our flagship event is Rally & Mingle — a monthly social mixer for single adults at Dynamite Pickleball's courts at Earl Warren Showgrounds. Here's how it works: you show up (zero experience needed — we have loaner paddles and beginner-friendly courts), get matched on a court, and rotate through the courts over the course of the evening. After play, we hang out, grab a drink, and let the rest take care of itself.
No forced small talk. Just good people, a little friendly competition, and a genuine reason to start a conversation.
Who this is for: Single adults in Santa Barbara who want to meet people, make friends, and maybe find something more — all while getting a surprisingly good workout.
What to expect at events:
- Structured rotation play — you'll meet most of the room
- All skill levels welcome (truly — we mean it)
- Paddle rentals available, no gear needed
- Post-play hangout with drinks
- A balanced, intentional mix of attendees
