McGill Campground to Mt Pinos Hike

Moderate 8 mi, 1300' gain through pine forests to Mt. Pinos and condor lookout in Los Padres National Forest. 90 min carpool to trailhead. Meet 8 am in Valencia by Embassy Suites. take 5 Fwy N, exit 126/Newhall Ranch Rd, turn R (E) on Newhall Ranch R, go 1 block then turn R on Vanderbilt Way, go 1 block, turn R on Westinghouse and park. Bring hiking shoes, hat, water, sunscreen, lunch, Adventure Pass. This is a backcountry outing, participants must bring a completed medical form with them to trailhead.
