Join us for a challenging and memorable summit adventure to San Gorgonio Peak (11,503 ft), the highest mountain in Southern California, via Vivian Creek Trail. Vivian Creek Trail is widely considered the shortest yet steepest route to the summit, gaining over 5,000 vertical feet across roughly 17–19 miles round trip.

Expect a long day of rugged mountain terrain, high altitude, exposed sections, forested switchbacks, creek crossings, and some of the grandest alpine scenery in Southern California.

The route begins in Forest Falls and steadily climbs through pine forest, creek canyons, burned high-country slopes, and eventually open alpine terrain near the summit ridge. Along the way we pass Vivian Creek Camp, Halfway Camp, and High Creek Camp before making the final push toward Old Grayback itself. On clear days, views may extend toward San Jacinto, the Mojave Desert, Big Bear, Catalina Island, and beyond.
