🌊 Waterfalls 𖣰 Teepee's 🎉 Birthday 🥐 Brunch 🥳 Hike!

It's hike-leader Gabriel's (Gabe's) birthday on Tuesday and it's going to be hot as h*ll later, so let's get an early start for a change and celebrate with a brunch on the trail!

Join us Sunday at 9am (leaving 9:15am) for a 4.1 mile hike in Wildwood Canyon where we'll see natural California beautiful landscapes, a waterfall and a teepee! Paradise Falls is located in Southern California's Conejo Valley and features a beautiful waterfall that plunges into a pool at the end of the North Fork of the Arroyo Conejo. Parking is free at the Wildwood Regional Park trailhead off of West Avenida de Los Arboles.

At the waterfall or teepee (2.3 miles in), depending on crowds and space, we'll have a potluck brunch and celebrate Gabe's birthday!

POTLUCK GUIDELINES: We'll go by birthday for this one, so if you are born in January-March, please bring a protein-oriented dish, April-June bring a bread/pastry/carb-oriented dish, July-September a veggie oriented dish, and October-December a dessert/sweet dish.

PARKING: Free at Wildwood Park, 928 W Avenida De Los Arboles, Thousand Oaks, CA 91360 (intersection of Big Sky Dr and W Avenida De Los Arboles). If the lot is full, additional lot 750' down the street (tennis court lot), or use the neighborhood across the street.
MEET AT: Look for the big group in the parking lot
TIMING: We will gather at 9, review the hike, take a group picture, and leave at 9:15am.
ELEVATION GAIN: 587 feet
DOGS: Well-behaved ok on leash. Bring water for your pal!
BATHROOMS: Near the bridge crossing early in the hike and a few others spread around
WATER: There's a fountain near the teepee
TRAIL: Double and single track, fire road.

BRING: Hiking shoes preferred, but athletic shoes will be OK. 2L of water. Sunscreen/hat/protection. That camera thingy inside your phone thingy. Potluck food (in a cooler if needed).
