SUNDAY FUNDAY!! Topanga Time Tunnel, Rain Room/ Stones Tribute

- Deep in the Santa Monica Mountains, a secret storm drain referred to by the locals as the Topanga Time Tunnel, provides access to a wooded canyon, a secret grotto, impressive rock formations, and various large waterholes.
The sorta-kinda trail requires boulder scrambling and multiple creek crossings, so come for the adventure. - After walking down the Time Tunnel to the creek, we will make our winding way alongside the steam to the swimming hole. The pool is surrounded by red sandstone rocks...bring a swimsuit if you feel like taking a dip. Next we continue downstream for 15 minutes to the Rain Room. We will stay there for a while then return the way we came.

AT 2:30 PM WE MEET outside of Topanga Rocks/Jalan Jalan Imports, an exotic outdoor furniture store featuring stone and wood carvings, crystals and the like. We will check out their 40-foot tall roadside "Owl" waterfall.
There is a porta potty in front of Jalan Jalan Imports, home of Owl Falls,
- THE TOPANGA CREEK HIKE FOLLOWS THE WEST SIDE OF CREEK FOR MOST OF THE ROUTE AND FEATURES LOTS OF CLIMBING OVER 3 TO 4 FOOT TALL BOULDERS. There are also a few rusty car bodies to avoid.
YOU WILL USE YOUR HANDS AS WELL AS YOUR FEET.
CLIMBING OF BIGGER BOULDERS IS OPTIONAL.....
You do not have to get wet.
Bring swimwear, a hat, lots of water, shoes you can get wet, if you want to the the plunge(s)
