Our Story
1592 was born from the friendship and culinary passion of Edward Zaki and Alexandre Gosselin, who met 16 years ago in Montreal. With over 25 years of experience owning, managing, and consulting for acclaimed restaurants, they’ve brought their modern, fire-driven cuisine to the U.S.

Joining them is Mila Aguiar, Co-owner and General Manager, whose hospitality background and vibrant leadership bring a fresh, elevated experience to every guest. Chef Johnny Zaki, a standout in Montreal’s food scene, adds his innovative flair to the kitchen, teaming up with Executive Chef Alex to craft bold, globally inspired dishes using fresh, local ingredients—all cooked over a wood-fired grill.
