🎞️ About the Film
Julian Schnabel's acclaimed 2000 film traces persecuted Cuban poet Reinaldo Arenas (played by Javier Bardem, in his breakthrough performance), who was jailed and silenced under Castro's regime. Fleeing to America, he defiantly champions free expression, transforming exile and suffering into a powerful literary legacy against censorship and oppression.
