SBCA Talk with Amber Arseneaux of Native Prairies Association of Texas

Details

Come listen to Amber Arseneaux, the Executive Director of Native Prairies Association of Texas. Her organization protects native prairies and grasslands through partnerships, acquisitions, and conservation easements. They are actively restoring prairie on their own lands and promoting restoration on these habitats through education and outreach.

Amber Arseneaux has a background in conservation-focused work with her previous positions with the Texas Land Conservancy (TLC). With TLC, she worked with communities and landowners to protect natural areas and build support for long-term conservation. She will share some of her experiences with this and go over the importance of protecting private lands, specifically prairies, North America's most endangered ecosystems.

Come anywhere from 6:30 pm to 7 pm to get your food ordered and drinks purchased, and to socialize.

This talk will take place at La Madeleine's restaurant located on Brodie Lane close to the 290 intersection. We will be meeting in a corner sectioned off for us, and we will start the program at 7 pm and after the presentation there will be a time for questions. We will wrap up around 8 pm, but feel free to linger.
