Barton Creek Native Plant Walk and Talk

Details
This will be a ~ 1 mile hike on a trail that connects to the Barton Creek Greenbelt, and is elevated above, overlooking the creek. It harbors a great diversity of native plants! There are some narrow, rocky sections, but it's low traffic. There will be frequent stops to talk about plants. For each plant we'll go over it's preferred habitat, it's uses, and how it benefits the wildlife. The trail is a mix of full sun and shade so be prepared with appropriate dress and bring some water.
It's being led by Elliott Bucknall, who minored in horticulture, interned at the Wildflower Center, and spends much of his time learning and sharing his love for plants through his involvements in the Austin Chapter of the Native Plant Society, Capital Area Master Naturalists, and the Austin Butterfly Forum. Elliott will be happy to answer any questions you may have about those organizations.
We will meet at the cul-de-sac of Via Fortuna. This road can be accessed from the the northbound access road of Mopac, just north of where Mopac crosses the Capital of Texas Hwy. It's located here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/5n63wGEEZGM4mA1c9
