New Event Details:
Friday Evening: Ann and I are planning to dine at the lodge and would be honored to have you join with us.

Saturday Breakfast: A breakfast casserole will be provided fireside to those who would like to participate. TIP JAR WILL BE PROVIDED, thank you.

Saturday Lunch: We will stop riverside for lunch. pls bring lunch/snack/beverage if you choose.

Saturday Evening: To keep with the fellowship atmosphere, we invite everyone to join us for a Creekside Luau. We will provide a meat and 2 sides. if anyone would like to bring a favorite side dish or desert that would be nice. BYOB. Also bring your camp chair. Typical Luau attire would be fun. A TIP JAR WILL BE PROVIDED, thank you.

Sunday Brunch: Leftovers from Saturday will be provided Creekside as we pack for departure. NO TIP JAR NECESSARY.

Event Details:
As in the past, this event allows for RV, tent/hammock camping. SCFS has reserved creekside sites 12,13, and 14. These sites hold multiple tents/hammocks. This years retreat will have several first for group.

2. Chattooga River activity for tubing/kayaking
3. Food, individual responsibility
4. Creekside camping for tent or hammock
   campers

All tent/hammock campers RSVP, SITES LIMTED. Contact Ann for a reserved site on 12,13 or 14.

For those that are not RVing or using a tent/hammock, cabins/rooms are available to rent.

Those wanting to kayak or tube the world famous Chattooga River should #1 have kayaking experience #2 have a kayak. Tubing requires no experience except knowing how to swim and bringing your personal tube. Those not wanting to get on the CR may go waterfall hunting (a lot of them), or you may hang out at camp and play in Long Creek campside. Any questions just ask.

Hello SCFS Friends, just as we've enjoyed a beautiful fullmoon paddle, the past 2 years. We will again embark on another nighttime paddle. This year, August 16th, we will enjoy a Blue Moon Paddle. This year, 2024, we will meet up at Larry Koon Landing on Shull Island. Located off hwy 378 a few short miles out of Lexington SC. This location provides clean restrooms and a suitable picnic area with ample parking. Located 1501 Shull Ave. Gilbert SC 29054. We will start our meetup at 7 pm and paddle around 8ish pm. As in the past, you may choose to bring a grill item and favorite beverage, a chair, and enjoy fellowship prior to paddle. This location provides a protected cove and BIG WATER access. This is a legal paddle. SCDNR only requires a PFD and a flashlight for a night paddle. The flashlight is only needed to be available, NOT on continuously. The "Romantic" reference is only a play on the song "Bluemoon" with no other insinuation. I will be using a real candle on my boat fyi.

Hello SCFS Members, as in the previous 2 yrs, SCFS members will support a very worthy charity, Special Olympics of South Carolina. We are looking for 20 members who will act as race course rangers. Basically, 2 objectives, one is to help secure the course for the participants and secondly CHEER on the Olympians during and afterward at the awards ceremony. Everyone is welcomed, but 20 members are needed as volunteer participants.
