What we’re about
The Chiltern Hills offer beautiful vistas, valleys, woodlands, villages and other delights. As a result, these walks are always scenic and often idyllic. The walks replenish, inspire and nurture wellbeing. Currently, the walks are mostly in the North of the Chilterns. I'm James, and I've been leading walks since I was a child, so you're in good hands.
I'm also the author of Kissing Consciousness, a personal wellbeing book, so if you'd like to ask me about that you're more than welcome, and I may throw in a related event from time to time.

See all- Saturday Walk: Grand Junction Arms, Bulbourne to Pitstone HillThe Grand Junction Arms, Tring
This is a 'bit of everything' walk to include a bit of canal, some woods and paths through a golf course en route to the main attraction of the views across the plains from the top of Pitstone Hill. That ridge is a smooth, flat path of lush grass that looks out across the Vale of Aylesbury as you walk along it. Walking time about 2.5 hours, distance 6 miles.
The price for the walk is £2 to cover costs.
After the walk you can stay for refreshments at The Grand Junction Arms pub on the canal.

We'll meet in the car park of the Grand Junction Arms, where there should be ample parking at that time. Please be ready to leave by 11:05.Travelling from London / by Train

- Sunday Walk: Potten End and Little Heath Tea RoomMartins' Pond, Berkhamsted
This is a new walk of 5 miles plus 1 mile. After the walk we'll have tea at the Little Heath Tea Room (pictured), which is a further 600 metres walk away; by the time we've walked back after that we'll have done just under 6 miles. Their car park is too small for a walking group so we'll park in Potten End village instead. The walk itself includes a new view over Berkhamsted that I haven't included on my walks before, and a nice stroll through the well-to-do properties of Ivy House Lane. Total time approx. 2.5 hours.
The price for the walk is £2 to cover costs.
Little Heath Tea Room is an idyllic quintessential English garden renowned for good cakes, cafetiere coffee and a wide variety of teas; Earl Grey, Camomile, Darjeeling, Lapsang Souchong; delicious still or sparkling cordials such as Ginger, Raspberry and Rhubarb, Elderflower and Lime and Mint. They also do sandwiches, quiche and other meals - all very nice. It is within Little Heath Farm Nursery with its lovely cottage garden ambience amongst the wildness of nature.
The refreshments after the walk can also be attended as a standalone event.
Free Parking
We'll meet on Potten End village green next to the pond. There is plenty of free parking on the road alongside the village green, in side roads, and in a parking bay in front of the village hall.Travelling from London / by Train
