Plan
Lets meet at the train station in Luchsingen-Hätzingen at 9.06 AM. Those coming from Zurich might already meet in the train S25 (Z-Pass OSTWIND-ZVV Day Pass).
In Luchsingen, we take the aerial cable car to Brunnenberg (cost 20 CHF).
From Brunnenberg, we will traverse meadows and woods leading to the spectacular Oberblegisee (1421m). At the lake, we will explore the shore and choose a spot for our base camp, where we will have lunch and enjoy an optional swim in the clear water. If you're hesitant about entering a natural water spot, we provide a supportive group and carry a floating device for added security. In the afternoon, you can choose to stay at the lake or join the exploration of the surrounding. This exploration will largely remain within sight of the base camp and include the valley, mountain river, and maybe waterfalls.
We will then descend using the aerial cable car back to Luchsingen The estimated 3-hour walking time does not include breaks and is only an approximation. We will not be in a rush to catch any connections and will be on the way back to Zurich around 19.00h.
