Quantum Gravity

Quantum mechanics and general relativity—two of the greatest success stories of 20th-century science. Unfortunately, as far as we currently know, they don't seem to completely work together. A theory that unifies them has eluded scientists for decades, but there have been many intriguing proposals. In this podcast episode, physicist Daniel Harlow talks with Sean Carroll about his research on black holes and how they might provide insights on a theory of quantum gravity.
