Established Wednesday 12 June 2002 and opened Friday 14 June 2002 with first in-person MeetUp activity Tuesday 2 July 2002, The New York City Sci-Fi/Fantasy MeetUp Group is the oldest continuous Science Fiction, Fantasy, Sci-Fi/Fantasy, and/or adjacent Genre, associated Genre, complementary Genre, related Genre and/or supplementary Genre MeetUp Group on [MeetUp.com](https://www.meetup.com/), as old as [MeetUp.com](https://www.meetup.com/) itself, and likely the oldest still existing of any MeetUp Group.
