Want to work out your brain and body and make new friends? Our social dancing group is a great place for all of the above, plus laughing and enjoying delicious snacks. Join us!
Scottish country dance is a living traditional dance form a bit like contra but with more footwork. Officially, we're a twig of the Cincinnati Branch of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society, which means our group is a non-profit devoted to spreading the joy of dance!
We hold regular classes at the Athens Community Center at 2 pm on most Sunday afternoons, with a few start-at-the-beginning sessions scattered throughout the year. Those beginner sessions are a great time for folks who've never danced to dive in. Classes usually cost about $5 per week, with the amount for each session payable through the Community Center.
