Re-Up Brunch

Kick off the sailing season at the annual Re-Up Brunch on March 10, 2013.  See old friends and make new contacts, become a new member or renew your membership, and register for the club's sailing classes and other upcoming events.

Remember daylight savings and spring ahead at midnight Saturday night!

Bring a dish for the buffet table -- fruits, salads, desserts or pay $10 without a dish

• Renew your membership or join for the first time
• Sign up for the awesome training classes (be there by 10 am because classes fill up fast)
• See what's on schedule for River, Bay, Racing, and Social Activities this year
• Delicious brunch of omelets and pancakes
• Bloody marys and mimosas, Wine, Beer, and sodas!
• Socialize, shoot pool, play ping pong, sing, eat, drink & be merry

You will be able to catch up with a lot of sailors and learn about the other fun stuff we've got planned for the year, including racing, maintenance, social events, river and bay outings, and more!

SCOW is an all-volunteer run organization and we are working hard to make our Re-up Brunch a lot of fun. Your help is needed and very much appreciated, so please volunteer to help with the brunch and at various sign-up tables. Send an email to [masked] to volunteer.

Bring a dish
Don't forget to bring a dish to fill out the buffet table – fruits, salads, desserts, etc. or pay $10.00 if you are cooking-challenged or not a Costco member. Bringing food is much nicer though.

You'll be able to sign up for our training classes once you arrive. Many classes often sell out quickly, so arrive on time or a couple minutes early for the Brunch, for the best shot at classes.
The classes offered to SCOW members include:
- Basic Sailing (intro to sailing in 19' Flying Scots)
- Cruising (A little more advanced sailing in our 25' cruisers, for folks who've passed Basic)
- Capsize (Learn how to capsize and recover a capsized Flying Scot.)

* Note there is a $50 discount on Basic Sailing and Cruising classes for folks who've been members for more than 6 months.

I was very happy with today's Re-Up Brunch! We had a very good turnout, with delicious food and drinks! I got to see many new faces today, which makes me especially excited about the upcoming sailing season. If you also had a great time today, please consider showing up for our Spring Maintenance Day on March 23rd! We will provide coffee, bagels, and donuts in the morning and pizza for lunch. All you have to do is show up and help get our boats in top shape for the sailing season. See you there!

What ever would make you leave SD? It is a great sailing town, let alone the weather being great.

I'll bring my wife. We'll pay cash rather than bring a dish. We recently moved to Arlington from San Francisco Bay.
