About us
Scrabble is a classic word game where players build interlocking words on a board using letter tiles, scoring points based on letter values and premium squares.
Join us for friendly (or competitive) Scrabble in the Portland area! Whether you’re a casual player who loves word games or someone looking to sharpen their skills, this group is for you.
We have a bunch of reguars who don't use Meetup - so even if there are no RSVPs here, come join us!
We meet regularly to play face-to-face games in a welcoming environment. Players of all experience levels are encouraged to attend—no prior club or tournament experience required. If you know the basics of Scrabble, you’ll fit right in.
What to expect:
-
Organized games with other local players
-
Opportunities to improve your skills and learn new words
-
A supportive, inclusive community
What to bring:
-
A Scrabble set if you have one (we usually have extras)
-
A positive attitude and love of words
Come play a few games with us. New faces are always welcome!

PDX Scrabble Club - Weekly on Tuesday Evenings
Kairos-Milwaukie United Church, 4790 SE Logus Rd, Milwaukie, OR, USIMPORTANT NOTE: We typically get 6-10 players who are not on Meetup.com, so Meetup RSVPS are not reliable - please come if you are interested!

Join us at the Portland Scrabble Club: Weekly, Tuesday Nights at 6:15 (Games start at 6:30). Kairos United Church of Christ 4790 SE Logus Rd, Milwaukie OR. We play in the Circle Room in the building towards the back past the sanctuary. (Not associated with the church.) $5 to pay for the room. (Free for newcomers.) Newcomers get to use a common word list, get free challenges, and don't get any penalties for clock overtime. There are usually enough regular members with boards so that you don't need to bring one if you don't have one handy.
This group tends to be competitive - although all skill levels are welcome, expect challenging games with some of the better players - this is a great place to learn the strategies and words that excellent Scrabble players use. This can be your new home for Scrabble if your family or friends will not play with you because you are "too good." Come early to answer any questions you might have.
