What we’re about
Welcome to Scrambled Legs and a Pint.
We are primarily a hiking group with the aim to hike, paddle, camp and even enjoy a pub, cafe or anywhere that will take us! <br>Also, in this time of hardship, we as a group are proud to be using half of the proceeds to support local food banks and soup kitchens. Any donations on top of walk fees are welcome, be the spare change or (non-perishable) food items dropped off at the walk.
If you enjoy a good banter, great company, being outdoors with similar folk and most importantly fun and laughter, we may just be the group you are looking to get involved with.
Come prepared with a hot drink and a smile! All we ask is respect for fellow hikers and the environment we all enjoy so much.
If you have any questions please message one of the co-organisers or myself and we will be more than happy to help.
Whether you're a first timer or a seasoned regular, you will always be made to feel very welcome.
Let the fun begin! 😊

See all- Wysis Way 55 Mile Walk Part 4 of 6 ' The Romantic One'Boxbush, Longhope
Wysis Way is a 55 mile trail that starts at Kemble and ends at Monmouth. We are doing this walk in 6 sections and going East to West.
This is the forth stage of this fabulously varied and picturesque trail. This walk is 11 miles, starts at Over Farm Shop car park and passes through a section of the romantic dismantled ' Daffodil Line' which connected Ledbury to Gloucester until 1954. We stop at the site of the Medieval Village of Lassington where only the tower of the church remain( see feature photo) . We climb May Hill to see wonderful views and we end our walk near the little hamlet of Upper Boxbush.
A reasonable level of fitness is needed and good walking boots essential. Like all of the sections, we will meet at the end point and car share to the starting point.
I will book a table at The Bay Tree Inn near Micheldean for a well-earned Sunday lunch. We enjoyed this pub and the food and service so much on the recce that we decided to visit it again in Part 5. Who knew there could be a 'Very Sticky Toffee Pudding' in existence! Really good food and good portions.
The cost of the walk is £2.50 with £1 donations to The Open Door in Cheltenham and £1.50 towards costs of organising this series. Please pay via PayPal if possible using friends and family option to kateshaw14@yahoo.com. Once you have paid you will be moved to the 'Going' list.
Please bring drinks, snacks and something to sit on. We will sort out the car sharing closer to the time. Join us for this fantastically interesting series of walks along the Wysis Way.
The dates for the rest of the walks are all on Sundays: 21/4, 5/5, 19/5 and 2/6/24.
