Hilly Amberley - Selsley Common Foodbank Charity Walk

Join Den, myself, and Jessie, my spaniel on for a stunning but hilly walk with fabulous views around the Stroud Valleys.

We start from Amberley war memorial, dropping down to Inchbrook, then taking a steady climb to Woodchester and through the vineyard, up to Selsley Common , then down across farmland, and common land with a long steady climb back to Amberley War Memorial. You will deserve a much awaited pint. Here we can change our shoes and take a short walk to the Blackhorse Inn

The hike itself does have a couple of decent hills, so a good level of fitness is required.

We do our best to walk at a "relatively" social pace, and we will make short stops to regroup where possible.

Dogs with well-behaved owners are welcome.

As usual we just ask for £2.50 donation. All donations received will be paid to the Foodbank (minus a contribution for Meetup Fees) on or before the start of the walk to our nominated charity, the Foodbank payable via

When you sign up, you will be added to our 'waitlist'. onçe we receive your donation, you will be transferred to the 'Going' List. Please note that no refunds are given unless the walk is cancelled or rescheduled.

We will finish off for a drink/lunch at the Black Horse in Amberley.
