Charlton Kings - Dowdeswell Loop

This is a semi-urban 7 mile loop walk from Sixways car park. The route gets in to countryside quite quickly, passing through Ham and Dowdeswell Nature Reserve woods. After skirting the western edge of the reservoir we cross to the Woodland Trust Lineover Wood and returning to the start point through local streets.

Theres a bit of a ‘climb’ going out of Ham and again in Lineover wood so duration might be 3 hours. Fairly dog friendly - first 1:2 mile and last 3/4 on leads. There were a couple of stiles that dogs would need to be lifted over - but mostly suitable.

Once completed we will head to Dunkertons for a quick pint and/or lunch

We just ask for a £3 donation for the Foodbank, paid via PayPal to carolinebolam@yahoo.co.uk, selecting the "Friends and Family" option, with 12/4 Foodbank as a description. All proceeds minus a small contribution for Meetup costs will be paid to the Charity soon after the walk.

You will go on to the "Waitlist" when you sign up, but you will be moved as "Going: once we receive your donation.
