A 5.5mile-ish walk from a great Cotswold pub. A few undulations but generally an easy walk with some great countryside.

Event overview

  • Distance: ~5.5 miles / 8.5 km circular
  • Grade: Moderate; a mix of woodland paths, open countryside and a few short but steep slopes.
  • Proposed route: This walk follows well‑used local paths, mixing sections along the dramatic escarpment with quieter inland tracks and field paths. Expect good viewpoints, pockets of woodland and some hilly sections that make the route feel like a proper outing without being extreme.

Expect some mud, so please wear appropriate hiking gear, poles can be advantageous. Please bring a snack and water. Dogs are welcome on leads where livestock is present and on road sections. We'll go to the Royal Oak for a drink/coffee afterwards. They don't do food on Saturday afternoon but have agreed to do us bowls of chips, if we want.

Parking is tight but you can park on the road outside the pub and a little bit into the village.

Please donate £2.50, a small proportion of which goes towards fees and every excess penny goes to our food bank collection. Preferred method of payment is PayPal (please use Friends and family option and send to richadwivedi@gmail.com quoting 'Andoversford'). We can take cash on the day although please bring exact change.

Any questions, please let me know.
