We will start the walk at 6:30pm and, weather permitting, see the moon rise just before 7:30. It is a very enjoyable route, mostly in open countryside with some woodland.

The meeting point is a free carpark on Hartley Lane.

If you join the walk we would welcome a voluntary £2.50 donation to food banks please - Kevin Beamish 31827226 09-01-26, Ref “4 March 26”

A headtorch or torch strongly recommended. If you would like to borrow one, please message Kevin or comment on the Event page.

If you’ve never done a headtorch walk before, think about trying one! They can be great fun, and the moon rising is a sight worth seeing!

The walk is actually the day after the full moon, but still almost 100% of full illumination, and it rises at a more sensible time for most of us to be able to see it on a weekday walk.

Disclaimer. If you join the event, we walk together as a group of friends with each one of us responsible for our own safety.

Well behaved dogs are welcome.

There are two carparks close to each other, so please look at the PIN. The correct one is close to the top of the hill, with an entrance adjacent to Hartley House, a quite noticeable, futuristic looking building (the incorrect one is in what seems to be a disused quarry and is harder to find anyway).
