Stonehouse, Randwick, and Standish Woods (8 km)

Please join Denis and I (plus Jessie, our cocker spaniel) on a lovely walk we havent done in a while..

Views galore on this walk from Stonehouse as it climbs up over wooded Deverow Hill, through to Randwick and Standish Woods back to Stonehouse.

With the amount of rain we have had recently, please be prepared if the ground is wet and slippy underfoot.

We are dog friendly, but dogs must have good recall when off the lead . The walk is a mixture of woodland paths, quiet country lanes, and fields.

At the end of the walk, we will take a short drive to the Vine Tree Inn in Randwick (Gl6 6JA)

Whilst we tend to walk at a "relatively" social pace, we will make short stops to regroup where possible. That said, a reasonable level of fitness is required for this hilly walk.

Please ensure you have the correct walking gear (walking poles will be useful).

We just ask for a non-refundable donation of £3 unless the walk is cancelled (Total donations raised will be paid directly to Foodbank (the Trussell Trust) minus a small contribution towards Meetup fees shortly after the walk) .
