The Barn Theatre - Honk!

The Award Winning
Ugly Duckling Musical!

Ugly has a face only a mother can love. Down at the duckpond his siblings and friends tease him for his looks, but there’s more to this plucky ‘duckling’ than meets the eye. Lost and in peril of being eaten, Ugly undertakes an adventure of wild goose chases and mistaken identities to find out who he really is.

Winner of multiple awards, including the Olivier Award for Best Musical, there have been more than 8,000 productions of Honk! worldwide… but none quite like this Built By Barn production.

This Christmas, meet Ugly and his friends in this radical new production, with updated music and an unmistakable cool factor. Much like The Lion King musical, Honk! is a story that’s magical for children and hugely entertaining for the grown ups.

With a new edge to this 2026 production, at its heart is still the redemptive tale of family and friendship that will warm hearts and widen smiles across the generations.
