Screenwriting UWS Meetup Group

Screenwriting UWS is a small, focused community for writers who want to sharpen their craft and explore their ideas in depth. Our intimate size allows for flexible feedback styles tailored to each writer’s needs, from detailed critique to deeper, conversational discussions around story, structure, and theme. With more time dedicated to each script, members have the opportunity to fully engage with their work and receive meaningful, actionable insight.
We meet in a private residence, providing a quiet, uninterrupted environment, no café noise, no minimum purchases, just a space dedicated to creativity and collaboration.
Our size is our strength, but it also depends on consistent participation. A smaller group means more time for each writer and quicker turns to share work, but it also means every member’s presence matters. Insightful feedback only has value if it’s in the room, and we rely on each other to maintain the quality and depth of our discussions. To support this, members are expected to attend regularly, with four consecutive missed meetups resulting in removal.
